Optimizing Adherence in OA Rehabilitation Trials
Rana Hinman, PhD - University of Melbourne

Patient adherence to best-practice treatment advice and recommendations is vital for people with osteoarthritis to obtain maximum clinical benefit. Optimizing patient adherence is of particular importance in OA rehabilitation trials, as these interventions are associated with high rates of non-compliance which can significantly impact trial outcomes and may influence generalizability of findings to routine clinical practice. This talk will discuss the importance of optimizing patient adherence in OA rehabilitation trials, the consequences of non-adherence, strategies for maximizing adherence and methods of measuring patient adherence.

Followed by select abstract presentations.
