Monica Maly, PhD

Monica Maly, PT PhD, is an Associate Professor and Director of the Mobilize Clinical Biomechanics Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. Monica’s research goals are to promote physical activity among adults with OA and provide strong training experiences for academic and professional students. She uses biomechanical methods and imaging to evaluate the impact of physical activities on joint health, mobility and productivity. This work is supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Canadian Foundation for Innovation. Monica’s work has earned awards from CIHR and the American Society of Biomechanics.
