Xiaojuan Li, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Cleveland Clinic, and the Director of the Program of Advanced Musculoskeletal Imaging (PAMI), Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Li obtained her PhD in Bioengineering from University of California at Berkeley and at San Francisco (UCSF) in 2003. Dr. Li was a Professor at the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, UCSF, before she joined Cleveland Clinic in 2017.

Dr. Li’s research program aims to develop novel quantitative imaging and image processing techniques, and promote their clinical translation for musculoskeletal diseases such as osteoarthritis. Presently, Dr. Li serves as a charter member for NIH study section (MEDI) and serves on the editorial board of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (MRM). She also serves as the Co-chair of the QIBA (quantitative imaging biomarkers alliance) MSK subcommittee sponsored by Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and serves on the Executive Committee of Osteoarthritis Center of Excellence of the Arthritis Foundation. Dr. Li has been PIs for many studies sponsored by NIH, private foundations and industrial companies. Among many awards, Dr. Li received the Distinguished Investigator Award, Academy of Radiology Research, in 2015. She has published more than 130 peer-reviewed journal articles, 5 book chapters and more than 200 conference abstracts related to her research.
